About a week ago, I bought a 2015 RS Clio 200 Cup. On the first day, after driving the car for hours without any issues, I experienced a problem on the way home. The car was skipping from 1st gear to 3rd, and then directly to 5th. A message saying “Check automatic gearbox” appeared. After turning the engine off for about 5 minutes, the problem went away and hasn’t happened again since.
I took the car back to the dealership and drove a courtesy car for a few days, but I got my car back 3 days ago as it was scheduled to go to a Renault mechanic on the 20th. Until today, I had no issues while driving. I’ve been using the car for commuting without any problems. However, while heading out for dinner, the car suddenly jolted and made a sound almost like a bang. It was in 4th gear at the time and I was trying to accelerate to overtake someone.
A “Check injection system” warning light came on, and now the car doesn’t accelerate well at all. I left the car for about 2 hours while I was at dinner, feeling very disappointed, and the light and issue were still there on the way home.
At this point, I’m extremely frustrated and incredibly upset because I really love this car. I’d really appreciate it if someone could give me some insight into what might be causing this!
