If you want to install a reverse camera on your Fiat Tipo vehicle and wonder how to do it, you are in the right place! I will explain step-by-step how I installed and activated the reverse camera on my own Fiat Tipo.
Required Materials
ELM327 OBD device (Not every device is compatible, be careful!)
Multiecuscan software (I used version 3.8, but version 4.5 offers more features)

Step-by-Step Fiat Tipo Reverse Camera Installation and Activation
1. Connecting the OBD Device and Installing the Software
First, connect your ELM327 device to your vehicle and install the Multiecuscan software on your computer.
Then:
Turn the ignition on and run the Multiecuscan program, then connect to the Body Computer section.
Go to the Proxi Alignment Procedure section.
On this screen, you will see a message that the reverse camera is not connected. Activate this setting.
Note: While the program saves the necessary data, it will ask you to connect the adapter number 5. After plugging in the adapter, confirm by clicking “Yes” to complete the process.
2. Camera Installation
My installation steps were as follows:
The multimedia screen in my vehicle was 5 inches, a model without navigation.
On the screen socket, I connected Pin 31 → the camera’s positive (+) wire
Pin 32 → the camera’s negative (-) wire.I supplied the camera’s 12V power from the right rear brake light and found the correct wire by testing when shifting into reverse.
I routed the camera cable under the door seals all the way to the trunk and mounted the camera there.
Once all these steps are completed, when you shift into reverse, your screen will now display the reverse camera view!
Important Notes
Before making any connections, disconnect your vehicle’s battery.
Make sure your ELM327 device is compatible with the Multiecuscan software. Not every device can connect to Fiat’s Body system.
Multiecuscan software is a paid program. You may need to purchase a license to use all features.
